Hello all! It's my favorite day of the year--my birthday! In honor of me, I'm going to share some of my favorite things we have in store (and online) currently!
Does anyone else just love their birthday?! I'm not a huge party girl, but I love getting together with my favorite girls for dinner or a fun activity. A few years ago we travelled to Kansas City and did the Mob Tour, it was a blast! This year I'm celebrating with a family dinner on my actual birthday and then with friends this weekend for a fun Saturday brunch. Keeping it low-key and gearing up for the big 3-0 next year. Hopefully we'll be able to take a trip to NYC or Charleston, I'll keep you updated.
Okay, here we go! My favorite things at Gia Rose right now & there is so much more new coming that I can't post but would if I could.
I'm obsessed with my Kitsch satin pillowcase ( I have the leopard print one). We're sold out of just the pillowcases but the sleep sets are an even better deal! Now that I'm knocking on 30's door it's even more important that I'm taking care of my hair and skin.
If you know me, you know how much I LOVE the Tyler Candle Co. Laundry Detergent. I use it on towels, bedding, and even my face masks! Shop my favorite scent High Maintenance here. Coincidence that "High Maintenance" is my scent of choice? I think not.
While I'm a winter baby and I thoroughly enjoy sweaters, I also love love love a flowy dress. When the Chiffon Midi dress came in last week I swooned and immediately tried it on. This dress is oversized, I easily wore the large. It would go so nicely with my white boots. *Adds to cart*
As I'm aging, I find myself seeking out and purchasing more neutral clothing options. This is partly to help build a more capsule like wardrobe, to fit my evolving style, and so I can wear super fun statement accessories. I enjoy a good statement earring, a monogrammed necklace, and my all time favorite--a headband. And I cannot wait for you all to see the accessories we picked up at market!!
Last, I want to share my 3 favorite sweaters available right now. Because they're so good and I want them all. Unfortunately, part of growing older is being more responsible and not impulse buying every item in the store.
I'm honestly shocked that this black turtleneck hasn't sold out. It's roomy, and the perfect staple piece for a winter wardrobe. Thinking I might snag it for my birthday brunch with some hot pink earrings. Speaking of my new obsession with neutrals both the You're a Star and the Khaki Zebra sweaters are on my wishlist. They're both oversized enough to wear with leggings, they're soft as heck, and make a statement while remaining neutral.
Our birthdays are a time to take stock of our lives. We see how far we've come and how far we still want to go. I've accomplished so much in these 29 years and I'm very proud of the lady I am, but I still have so much more to do and become. As I'm entering the last year of my 20s, I want to do all the things I still haven't done. I want to take more photos, learn a new skill, and really use this year to set myself up to be a "real" adult in my 30s. We'll see how it goes.
Happy Birthday to all my fellow Capricorns; I'm in good company with the likes of Michelle Obama and Betty White.
