Fall is a favorite season for many people and for many reasons, but for me—it is the clothes. I love to throw on cozy but cute clothes, holiday themed graphic tees, and closed-toed shoes!! Today I’m going to share some of my fall favorites/ “must haves”, because (hopefully) the weather is about to change for good and we can enjoy the season.
- Leather Leggings
I LOVE leather leggings. I get it, leather even if it is faux can be intimidating to wear- but I’m here to tell you, leather leggings are one of the best investment pieces you can make. They are so versatile and be taken easily from day to night with ease. Here’s a mini breakdown on how to style your leather leggings. My favorite leather leggings are the Spanx brand. They’re thick, hold you in an all the right places and while yes, they’re expensive they’re totally worth the price! If you’re not ready to shell out the money on Spanx, try an inexpensive option from your local boutique😉. (restocking soon)
What to wear with them or style the leather leggings below!
a. Shoes - Going casual to run errands, hit up a youth soccer game, or grab coffee with the girls? Add sneakers! Looking for a more edgy vibe? Booties! A bootie with a pointy toe will give you a fancier vibe while a rounded toe will keep it more casual. One last option, mules! I find myself gravitating to my mules almost every morning, they’re comfy and stylish.

b. Tunics - Gia Rose has these amazing empire waist tunic (it comes in plus and THREE colors) that pairs perfectly with black leggings for a monochromatic look. Pair it with black booties or mules for a chic look! Perfect for date night!
c. Oversized Sweaters - There is nothing more cozy or comfortable than throwing on an oversized sweater with a pair of leggings, we all know that. Do you have a cropped sweater at home, that you only wear with jeans? Throw on a longer white tee underneath and it’s another casual but cute option!

d. White Button Down - We all have that one oversized white blouse in our closet. It seems so practical and yet, if worn with certain pants it can look like a Risky Business costume moment. Pair the blouse with your leather leggings! The oversized fit will cover you in the waist and hip area and add someclean white sneakers and a fun headband, it keeps it from feeling a bit too edgy and just enough business casual and fun!
2. Peasant Maxi Dresses
One Saturday night, while browsing the Target racks (we were wearing masks!) Sloan and I came across what we immediately deemedLittle House on the Prairie dresses. I’d seen some bloggers wearing these while frolicking in fields of sunflowers, pumpkin patches, baby showers, and other events. So, I took a leap and threw one in my cart. Boy oh boy am I glad I did! It’s become one of my favorite items in my closet and I’m scouring the internet and local boutiques for my next one. The peasant maxi dress is perfect for chilly fall mornings that turn into warm afternoons, the blousy sleeves feel more “fall” than a regular maxi, and the long sleeve action means you don’t have to pair it will a jacket (unless you want to).
Style Tip: I’m 5’1 on a good day and these maxis hit at the perfect length! Can wear with mules or booties.
3. White Booties
The #1 item on my wish list…. WHITE BOOTIES! White booties have been a trend for a while and, like many of you, I have been apprehensive to jump on the trend, but again something clicked with me this season and I am ALL IN. Perhaps it was being influenced by the Instagram influencers, either way I am on the hunt for the perfect inexpensive white bootie.
Style tip: Wear them with any of the outfits listed above. I personally cannot wait to wear them with my fall maxi dress.
4. Graphic Tees
Did you think I would talk about fall favorites and leave out graphic tees?! A seasonal or holiday graphic tee is a STAPLE from October-December. A graphic tee takes “casual Friday” or “wing it Wednesday”, as we say here at Gia Rose, at work to the next level.Hocus Pocus is one of my all time favorite Halloween movies, so you better believe I own notone, nottwo, butthree Hocus Pocus graphic tees to wear all October long. Gia Rose has some super cute graphic tees right now. Grab the witch hat tee (great for teachers and Halloween parties coming up) and the Tis The Season Tee is a must have for all you Chief’s fans out there! Throw it on with leggings to watch the game from the comfort of your home or your leather leggings and really show out!

So now that you know my must haves; grab your favorite fall beverage (shoutout to you pumpkin spice babes!) and get to shopping!
