Did you listen to me in the Fall and purchase white booties? If you did and you’re also trying to figure out how to make them stretch into Spring, I’m here for you sister. Thankfully, I treated myself to a pedicure last week so my toes are sandal ready, but if you’re not booties are still for you!
White booties are so good for Spring because they’re bright and go great with florals and pastels. Black booties are fantastic in Fall & Winter and can work for Spring, but nothing feels more fresh than a white bootie.
I texted Sloan to wear white booties on Monday, because I knew we would both style them so differently and I was right! That’s the thing about fashion, there are so many ways to express yourself with your clothes. Sloan’s style tends to be a bit more edgy and trendy whereas my style is a little more girly. So take our versions of this and make it your own!
Just like in fall/winter, wearing your white booties with jeans and a light sweater is totally acceptable! Sloan paired her white booties with a light graphic knit sweater. The sweater is white with pink hearts so it’s got some Spring colors going. Skinny jeans are great, too but apparently boyfriend jeans or cropped jeans are all the rage. Grab a sweater or graphic tee, do a front tuck and add your booties and you’re set with a fun, cool outfit!
If you’re working in an office or just have a more feminine vibe, wear your boots with a midi skirt or dress! This is my personal favorite. As soon as the snow melted I dusted off my dresses and skirts. This outfit came to me in a dream. I was wearing my yellow sweater (also lightweight!!) and my dark green floral skirt with my white boots. It makes me feel girly and fancy and fun. I’m a firm believer in if you look good you feel good and if you feel good you look good. The bright pop of yellow with the dark colors of the skirt are offset by the pop of white booties (cream in my case). I will also be wearing these boots with midi/maxi dresses this season.
Another fun and cool way to utilize your boots this spring is with shorts! Grab an oversized lightweight sweater, some distressed denim cutoff shorts, and your white ankle boots for a super cool and trendy look!
My last piece of advice to styling your white boots is somewhat controversial...I’m loving the idea of an all monochromatic white look. White jeans or pleated skirt, a white blouse, a creamy blazer or cardigan and a pearled headband. Chef’s kiss.
