Fall In The Future

Summer is winding down and it’s time to start thinking of cooler temps and all the fun and cozy outfits we can wear! Yes, summer is great for jean shorts, sundresses, and lake days; but I for one prefer a cozy sweater, booties, and a day at the pumpkin patch.

  • Masks
  • COVID brought us a lot of headaches and fear, but it also brought us the hottest new accessory, face masks! Masks are coming in all colors and patterns-animal print is still in so stock up on leopard, snakeskin, and even zebra. Keep one in your office, your purse, and your car so you’re never caught without it.

  • Jean Jackets
  • Your favorite Summer sundress can be worn well into August and September by simply tossing on a jean jacket and a pair of tennis shoes for a casual weekend vibe or casual workwear. Oversized jean jackets can be paired with biker shorts and a graphic tee for running errands or grabbing coffee with a friend. A cropped jean jacket tossed over your favorite swing dress is perfect for work!

Is a jean jacket too casual?

  • Blazers
  • In the early days of fall, all you need is a blazer to keep warm in the early mornings and after the sun goes down. This season branch out with a plaid pattern or try a bold color like red or my personal favorite hot pink.

Try a blazer with a dress, a camisole and jeans, or blouse and slacks for the office.

  • Maxi dresses
  • Maxi dresses are easily one of the most comfortable articles of clothing in your closet. Take it from summer to fall with tennis shoes or booties or a cropped sweater over the top. Solid colors and stripes are great neutrals that are seasonless.

  • Marigold
Mustard’s fancy cousin, Marigold is the perfect color to represent the summer sun and the changing of the leaves in fall. Add it to your wardrobe in the form of a blouse or pleated midi skirt.
  •

  • Animal Print
Yes, leopard and snake are still going strong, but you will start seeing zebra popping up too.
  • While back to school is going to look different, it doesn’t mean you can’t look your best via Zoom! Layering will be key in stretching your wardrobe throughout the summer/fall transition and beyond.

Here is the thing about fashion, it’s so unique and personal to you. What one girl is comfortable in, isn’t always the best look for another. It is important to find what youlove and rock it!
